About us
Megabit is Aonic’s new publishing arm that was created to support its 1st and 3rd party studio partners. Key titles under Megabit currently in development include OtherSide Entertainment’s Thick As Thieves, the surreal fever dream OMUT from Madame Cyclone, Grit and Valor 1949 from Milky Tea, and the cozy open world adventure Lou’s Lagoon from Tiny Roar.
The Role
Megabit is looking for a brand-new marketing recruit to join the team, someone who is passionate about indie videogame marketing and potentially looking to step up. This role would help bring two of our unannounced titles to market.
As part of our planned growth strategy we are building the marketing team and are looking for someone who can take the GTM process from discovery to strategy planning to execution. Reports to Senior Marketing Manager.
Responsibilities
Marketing Leadership and Strategy
- Own the GTM and combine your experience, curiosity, testing and learning, and data driven insights with creative thinking to craft impactful campaigns. Will need to inspire development team partners and internal stakeholders with clear marketing vision.
Relationships and Collaboration
- Build strong connections with internal teams, development partners, platform holders and third-party stakeholders. Collaborate with internal and external teams is crucial to deliver compelling marketing content, all the time effectively managing the feedback and approval loop.
Performance Focus and Campaign Execution
- Be responsible for setting and monitoring marketing KPIs, using them to drive business performance and improvements. Additionally, oversee marketing budget and campaign coordination, ensuring readiness, efficiency and effective activation.
Key Skills & Experience
- Have an all hands-on deck/indie marketing mentality and a willingness to get your ‘hands dirty’ to get things done.
- 1-3 year’s experience in videogame marketing either in Indie or AA/AAA –demonstrating a clear trajectory of success.
- Loves games and exciting gamers about games
- Analytical person, curious and always looking for new ideas, opportunities or channels to market video games
- A calm and clear communicator who will listen to guidance from the surrounding team while also being able to present their own work confidently.
- A person who enjoys the energy of a smaller environment where each person has their own responsibilities but understands the strength of being a team player with a positive attitude.
