Megabit is Aonic’s new publishing arm that was created to support its 1st and 3rd party studio partners. Key titles under Megabit currently in development include OtherSide Entertainment’s Thick As Thieves, the surreal fever dream OMUT from Madame Cyclone, Grit and Valor 1949 from Milky Tea, and the cozy open world adventure Lou’s Lagoon from Tiny Roar.
The Role
Megabit is looking for a brand-new community recruit to join the team, especially someone who is passionate about indie community building and growth.

Key titles under Megabit currently announced/in development include OtherSide Entertainment’s Thick As Thieves, OMUT from Madame Cyclone, Pathfinder: Abomination Vaults from BKOM, Grit and Valor 1949 from Milky Tea, and Lou’s Lagoon from Tiny Roar.
We understand how important community is to everything we do here, and this role is super important as you will need to be the guardian of that for your titles.
Responsibilities
- Community Strategy/Management: Work with team to develop and implement a comprehensive community strategy that makes us the best community to be part of.
- Community Building: Ensure that we are Identifying, engaging with, retaining, and rallying our most dedicated fans to create a passionate and active gaming community in the right places.
- Community Voice: Ensure that the team is the voice of the gaming community within the company, including managing social media accounts, participating in forums, conducting community playtests, and representing the brand at live events.
- Data-Driven Insights: Establish and monitor KPIs to measure the effectiveness of community initiatives.
- Social Media: Works with our Creator Manager to build community advocates and building global networks, obsesses over social media channels algorithms and has a creative content creation passion that can help bring fun and innovative content ideas to life via our creative team.
- Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product development, marketing, PR, bus dev and operations to align community efforts
- Crisis Management: Deal with crisis communications within the community when necessary, maintaining transparency and trust.
- Reporting: Creating and distribute insightful reports that track community sentiment, providing actionable insights/recommendations to inform decision-making.
- Partnerships: Actively seek collaborations and partnerships with fan sites, influencers/creators, and ways/other stakeholders to promote and grow our gaming communities.
Key Skills & Experience:
- Able to work with a startup mentality and get hands dirty to get things done.
- Proven experience in videogame community management role either in Indie or AA/AAA, including experience with Discord, Reddit, TikTok, Live Streams, Influencers and Steam Forums.
- Experience of being involved in playtests and funneling results back to the development team.
- Loves games and have good industry knowledge.
- Problem solver and always looking for the edge.
- Used social media tracking tools.
- Well organized processes and delivers to deadline.
- Awesome copywriting skills and doesn’t mind being the visible figurehead for the community.
